Fig & Sugar

My love of food started in the kitchen with my Grammy and grew up alongside two parents who loved to cook, including my dad, whose legendary brisket was a holiday staple. I considered a career in food long before I ever entered politics, but after two decades in the political world, I finally found my way back to the kitchen. Fig & Sugar is where my lifelong love of food meets my tendency to obsess over the details. I may care less about making the prettiest dessert than making the most delicious one, but I will absolutely tweak a recipe until every bite is worth remembering.
